Botulinum toxin (colloquially Botox) relaxes individual muscles in a targeted way and thereby smooths lines that are caused by movement: the forehead, the frown lines, the crow's feet. Correctly dosed, the expression is retained and the face looks rested rather than frozen. Treatment of the armpits with botulinum toxin is approved in Germany for pathological sweating. However, that does not automatically settle whether your insurer will cover the costs: German statutory insurers decide case by case and as a rule require that other treatments have been unsuccessful first. At Cureal we bill the service privately. What applies in your situation is something we discuss openly in the consultation, before any costs arise.

Because a price per zone pre-empts a decision that nobody has taken yet. How many zones or how much material you really need is only clear once a doctor has seen your face in motion. Because it is not permitted. On 31 July 2025 the German Federal Court of Justice ruled that public before-and-after advertising breaches the German Medicinal Products Advertising Act for botulinum toxin and hyaluronic acid treatments as well. That applies to all providers equally, including collaborations with influencers. Anyone who shows you such pictures publicly is not complying with applicable law.
